Frequently Asked Questions

Parent, Family, & Supporter Orientation Questions

What is Parent, Family, & Supporter Orientation?
Family & Supporter Orientation is a program that runs concurrently with First-Year Orientation programs for the Fall Semester. At the orientation, guests will learn more about campus resources, the student experience, and how to support their student in the transition to college. More information can be found here

Where can I stay before or after orientation?
Students and guests can register for additional overnight stays before or after orientation. Find more information.

Am I required to attend the same session as my student?

While it’s recommended that you attend the same session as your student, it’s not a requirement. Family members & supporters will be on their own track for most of the day, and thus attending a separate session still ensures that parents & family members are receiving valuable information pertaining to their student’s success in college.

Where should I park?

You can find parking information here.
