Welcome Parents, Families, & Supporters

Welcome to the University of Utah community! We are so excited for your student to join us on campus. The University of Utah is a vibrant and unique institution with limitless room for students to learn and grow.

We know that many of you plan on attending the optional Parent, Family, & Supporter (PFSO) Orientation to gain valuable information on resources and processes for your student. So here are some important notes:

  • PFSO is optional.
  • PFSO is only for first-year New Student Orientation.
  • Paid guests added to First Year New Student Orientation registration will attend PFSO.
  • We have limited space for each scheduled PFSO, so registering earlier is best. Once a section is full, it's full. No exceptions will be made for extra registrants.
  • Day one of PFSO shares information about supporting your student in transitioning to college life and answering questions parents, family members, or supporters may have about The University of Utah. Day two will be with your student for a series of break-out sessions that cover various topics regarding life as a student.
