Why Did You Choose the U?

I chose the University of Utah because I knew that this was where I was meant to be. My family and I traveled to Utah to tour the college for my brother who was a senior in High school at the time. Even though the tour was not intended for me and I was still in middle school at the time, I fell in love with the breathtaking views of the mountains and the campus and the wonderful people I met as well. My entire first experience on this campus was amazing and I knew that when it was time for me to attend college, this was where I was meant to be.

One thing I wish to accomplish before I graduate is traveling to all 50 states in the United States.

Why Did You Want To Be An Orientation Leader?

I wanted to be an orientation leader ever since I had the best experience at my own orientation. I remember all of the fun and exciting energy that my orientation leaders were showing and overall looked like they were having so much fun and it made me want to be apart of this community.

There is a really great community and I know the U cares about me as a person and not just as a student. There are a ton of great opportunities and programs especially for what the cost is. There's always something to do on campus and it's a great location to do things off campus.

I wanted to help others adjust to the U and help them find their own reason to love it. I also wanted to build my community by getting to both meeting other OL's and getting to meet incoming students all summer long.
