Bassem Youssef, dubbed the Jon Stewart of the Arab World, was the host of popular TV show AlBernameg — which was the first-of-its-kind political satire show in the Middle East. Throughout its three seasons, AlBernameg became the most popular television show in Egypt’s history, with an average of 30 million viewers every week. Currently living in the U.S., Youssef was named one of Time Magazine’s most influential people, under the “Pioneers” category, and continues to challenge power with one of the most powerful weapons: humor.

A new parking terrace at 100 South and Wolcott is now open, just one block from Kingsbury Hall and Libby Gardner Hall (see map at right).  For some performances, there will be a charge to park in this lot.

As always, FREE parking is available for all Kingsbury Hall events at either Rice-Eccles Stadium or Merrill Engineering. Check the performance page of the event you are attending for details.

Meters are available along Presidents Circle. Most are free after 6:00 PM on nights with public performances at Kingsbury Hall, but fill up fast and should probably not be counted on if you arrive close to showtime.

Most E, U, and A lots are free on weekends and after 8:00 PM on weekdays, but look for signage at each lot to be sure.
