Swoop Camp Day Trip - is comprised of a variety of activities for all skill levels. If you are a new first year student, experience outdoor adventures with other incoming first year students. Swoop Camp Day Trips will be in July and "a la carte" style. You can choose one or four days of outdoor adventures. Registration is limited due to Campus Recreation and safety reasons.
Flat Water Activities
This trip will be to a local reservoir to experience a couple watercraft Outdoor Adventure offers. We will include stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and tubes.
Outdoor Rock Climbing
This trip will head out to a local crag in the Cottonwood canyon for a top rope climb for various difficulties. We will teach the basic skills to climb and belay safely.
Float Weber River
This trip is a 5 mile float on the Weber River, in Weber Canyon, that features class 2 and 3 rapids. Duckies are inflatable sit-on top kayaks, capable to running white water rapids.
Hiking
This trip will include take place at a high elevation and on one of the Wasatch’s renowned trails.
