The Center for New Student & Family Programs and the University of Utah welcomes you to Peer Mentor Institute

Peer Mentor Institute (PMI) is an intensive one-day training and education program which aims to prepare students with the skills and knowledge they need to be effective leaders.  PMI will provide training focused on the competencies and knowledge that all peer mentors need with emphasis on the core areas of Social Justice, Ethics, Hard Skills and Peer Leadership. It also allows for students across areas to meet/network, form relationships, and share information that will be beneficial throughout the year as students fulfill their role(s) as peer mentors.  PMI is open to institutions outside of the University of Utah as an effort to build a community of educators dedicated to supporting the development of our student leaders.

Registration

Registration for Peer Mentor Institute in now available online, you can either pay with a credit card immediately or a campus order if you are sponsoring students to attend the institute. If you choose to pay with a campus order please contact New Student & Family Programs and we will help finalize your request. We highly recommend paying for your registration fee before arriving on-site for the event, this way your ability to attend will not be hindered.

Peer Mentor Institute Refunds/Cancellation Policy

You may request a refund for the institute registration fee based on the following refund timeline. PMI registrants requesting a cancellation that is received by email to Erin Sine, 2 full weeks before the institute, will receive a full refund. Absolutely no refunds will be made to individuals canceling within less than 2 weeks of the conference start date.
